Its the BIG 4 years for Brody.

So my little guy is 4 years old, 40 1/2 inches tall and just under 40 lbs. That is a lot of growing since may 1, 2006, 7lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long. I could not have asked for a sweeter, funnier and truly loving little man to have for a son. Again another clone of my husband which is why I just think he is the cutest boy EVER!
I was so happy that the day started out with a fabulous thunderstorm in the early hours but cleared up for the early evening as we prepped for a little get together.  We had a lot of great food thanks to Lisa for the super yummy steak and chicken she made to top off the taco/quesadilla bar.
We just invited the Riker & Bowen extended family to come by and help us celebrate.  Avery & Bailey looked on as Brody opened a box of goodies Bailey picked out and paid for all on her own without any prompting from me or Bri.
They do really like each other.
After we opened a few things for the birthday boy we sat back and enjoyed some ice cream and cupcakes. (Thanks to Grammy Riker)

Because of how generous our family and friends have been to our kids over the years, we asked guests to bring items to donate instead of gifts for Brody's Birthday.  I would like to say a special thank you to everyone who brought something to the party to donate to two charities that the kids picked.

Bailey picked out a box of cat food to go with a huge bag of dog food Lizzy and Grammy Riker donated for the Michigan Animal Rescue League (a no kill animal shelter) and Matt, Sarah, Lisa & Liz also donated pjs, socks and underwear for the Hope Shelter in Pontiac.  Cal and Priscilla brought a bunch of puzzles for the older people at the shelter also.

I am so thankful for everyone who came to help make Brody's birthday so special.
